All children have the right to be protected from all forms of physical and mental violence, injury or abuse, neglect or negligent treatment, maltreatment or exploitation, including sexual abuse."
United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child 1989
The British Council Egypt, and its attached schools, with the Ministry of Education, believe that nothing is more important than the safety of the young people who study with us. We are committed to developing the highest standards of child protection.
The British Council has no regulatory authority over schools. Membership of the CPAS framework should not be seen as an endorsement of schools.
The schools listed on this page have committed to the principles described in our framework document and working towards a gold standard in child protection in the region. They are engaged with the British Council and each other to share expertise, and work towards ensuring that they provide a child safe environment for all our learners.
