About this course

Teaching Teens is an intensive, 5-day course designed to help teachers who deal with the different challenges of teaching students between the ages of 11 and 17  by developing a better understanding of the social, cognitive and physical developmental transitions that occur in this age group, and the implications of these in a language classroom

Course Content

Day 1:

  • Understanding Teen Development and Classroom Implications
  • Classroom and Behaviour Management

Day 2:

  • How to plan a successful Teens lesson
  • Teaching Vocabulary and Grammar

Day 3:

  • Task-based Learning
  • Teaching Mixed Ability Classes

Day 4:

  • Teaching Writing
  • Teaching Pronunciation

Day 5:

  • Supported lesson planning
  • Course reflection activties
