April / May / June 2026 Session (UG Laws & EMFSS)
If you are planning to sit University of London examinations in the April, May and June 2026 session, please read the information below carefully.
Following these steps is essential to ensure you are successfully registered and able to sit your exams in this session, rather than having to wait until October / November 2026.
Key Registration Dates (Important)
- Assessment Entry Task opens: 2 February 2026 at 00:01 UTC
- British Council registration & payment closes: 4 March 2026 at 23:59 UTC
Late or incomplete registration may result in you being unable to sit exams in this session.
Step 1: Complete the Assessment Entry Task (University of London)
- Log in to the University of London Student Portal
- Complete the Assessment Entry Task for UG Laws or EMFSS
- Submit your intention to sit your selected module(s)
- As you proceed, you will be directed to the British Council Registration & Payment Portal
Step 2: Register and Pay with the British Council
- Register and pay online only via the British Council payment portal
- Registration period:
2 February 2026 (00:01 UTC) – 4 March 2026 (23:59 UTC)
To avoid delays, please ensure that you:
- Use your 9-digit Student Registration Number (SRN)
- Select the correct module codes and confirm eligibility
- Note that refunds for incorrect entries may incur an administration fee
Step 3: Receive and Use Your Validation Code
- Within two working days of successful registration and payment, you will receive a University of London validation code by email from the British Council
- Return to the Student Portal and complete your Assessment Entry Task using this validation code
If this step is missed, you will not be registered for the examinations.
Exam Venue & Appointment Details
If all steps above are completed successfully:
- You will receive an email from the British Council 1–2 weeks before the exam session
- This email will include:
- Exam appointment details
- Venue address
- Important test-day guidance

Important Information on Exceptions
- If you miss the British Council registration and payment deadline, you must contact the University of London directly
- Exception requests are not guaranteed
- Approved exceptions may:
- Be subject to capacity availability
- Incur a higher examination fee
