British Council Egypt is looking to recruit newly qualified teachers to join the Teacher Support Programme (June - September 2020), and full-time teachers to work in Agouza and Heliopolis centres. We work with over 100 countries across the world in the fields of arts and culture, English language, education and civil society. Each year we reach over 20 million people face-to-face and more than 500 million people online, via broadcasts and publications.

Role overview

1- Newly qualified Teachers (Fresh CELTA Graduates)

 Essential Requirements:

  • First degree
  • Cambridge CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL
  • Post-certificate i.e. CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL experience
  • High proficiency in English i.e. full mastery of English across all 4 skills equivalent to user (CEFR C2)
  • Due to visa restrictions, only Egyptian or UK national candidates can apply

2- Teachers of English (+2 years of experience post CELTA)

Essential Requirements: 

  • Cambridge CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL
  • 2 years post-certificate i.e. CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL experience
  • Experience in teaching relevant age groups:  Adults General English (800+ hours) - Young adults aged 5-17 (400+ hours)
  • High proficiency in English i.e. full mastery of English across all 4 skills equivalent to user (CEFR C2) 
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Due to visa restrictions, only Egyptian or UK national candidates can apply
