Call for Proposal – Opportunity for UK universities to access grant to develop TNE partnership with Egypt universities
This Call for Proposal is part of Going Global Partnerships (GGP), British Council’s global project on higher education. GGP’s overall objective is to create stronger, more inclusive and globally connected tertiary education systems, which support economic and social growth, with the UK seen as trusted partner and provider.
About the grant
Two grants of around £30,000 each, will be provided to UK universities, or consortia of universities, to partner with universities or consortia of universities from Egypt for running a project that will support greater internationalisation of HE institutions and transnational education (TNE). There are three key target development areas:
- A teaching and collaboration model and a course or module that contributes towards UK and Egyptian bachelor’s, master’s, or professional association qualification.
- A model and a course that contributes to student outcomes through significantly enhancing employability skills and prospects, e.g., an apprenticeship degree
- A development programme to improve the capacity of the institution/organisation for international working at institutional level
Examples of project activities could include (not an exhaustive list):
- Joint curriculum development
- Creating enabling environment for TNE (e.g. policy dialogue, quality assurance etc)
- Training and professional development
- Digital delivery
